Heard this was the pizza in Florida but in reality it ranks up there with the top in the country! This is definitely in my top three of pizza of all time! We got the ricotta with pepperoni and just a regular pepperoni pizza. Ate it fresh at the tables near the truck and I almost ate both pizzas right on the spot they were so good! Also, Dan and is staff are A+ super nice, super hospitable, and work super hard at perfection! If you are down here in Sarasota go find this truck and be ready for pure satisfaction! This pizza is LEGIT!

Great place for a simple New Haven style pizza. Super paper thin crust with plenty of char and crisp. No floppy pizzas here! The place you go to when you want a light pizza that doesn’t weigh you down too much. You’re limited to only two pizzas an order, so choose wisely. The hot honey with ricotta, basil and tomato sauce has the most flavor that we’ve tried. And the mootz is the most classic New Haven style! Tasted just like New Haven pizza straight from New Haven, Connecticut! The wait on a Friday afternoon was no more than 10-15 minutes for a fresh pipping hot pie! And the service was so hospitable and pleasant!

This was our family's first time eating at DAN APIZZ' MAN. We managed to get there at a perfect time before it became crowded on a Friday evening. Our first attempt the pizzas were sold out. The atmosphere is fun with live entertainment and a brewery near the Sun King. Everyone was so pleasant even the customers were talkative. Now for star of the show other than the Pizza man himself and his staff was the New Haven style thin crust pizza. We were able to purchase the Mutz, Margherita and the Rigott. Our fave was definitely the Rigott with hot honey, evoo, and crispy pepperoni was perfection! The hype is real do yourselves a favor and get a Rigott!!

Incredible pizza and nothing like it on this coast of FL. Top shelf, there's just no way around it. Super crisp, beautiful char, sauce is spot on, very light flop for the cheese and no flop at all with the tomato pie. Can't wait to get down there again- wish this was closer to LWR and I could get this 1x or 2x a week. If you know New Haven, get this pizza and eat it fresh. I got the tomato pie, the marg and the mozz. Keep it going Danny babe

On vacation in Bradenton with my wife and two kids, I did what any self-respecting pizza lover would do and searched for New Haven-style pizza. That search led me to Dan’s APIZZ Man. I’ll admit, I was skeptical. I’m a bit of a pizza snob and I’ve actually been to New Haven more than once. But Dan absolutely lives up to the name. I knew within 30 seconds of chatting with him it was going to be good. I was wrong. It was honestly one of the best pies I have had. The crust had that perfect char and chew, the balance of sauce and cheese was spot-on, and the whole pie had that unmistakable apizza personality. After this visit, I don’t feel the need to try any other pizza spots down here. When I’m back in Bradenton visiting my mom, this will be a mandatory stop. It was the perfect bookend to a great family vacation. Well done; pun completely intended. PS: my preferred pie is a simple tomato pie. No photos of that one. It was half eaten before we thought to take a photo like a true millennial.
